The season has changed, and we are here for it! We have matched our favorite fall personalities to events and locations in and around DC. Which fall personality are you!? (Yes, we know this could have been a great BuzzFeed quiz but you don't need a quiz to tell you where you fall on this list!)

Extreme Fall Enthusiast 

Happy Fall, Y'all! Order up the PSL, purchase all of the pumpkins (the bumpier, the better!), and don't forget to water your mums. Your fall wardrobe is ready to thrive once again. Oh, how it’s been missed! You’re prepared for all things Fall and football. This list of locations is for you, our extreme fall enthusiasts, who give 100% to checking off their fall bucket list. We know you can’t wait to get your hands on some apple cider donuts on your trip to the pumpkin patch.

  • Montpelier Farm 

For $12 a person (free for ages two and under), you will have access to countless fall-themed activities, including your favorites: 7- acre interactive corn mazes, pick-your-own pumpkins, giant slides, and a petting zoo! So much to do on your day visit to Montpelier Farm. Visit the Montpelier Farms website to purchase tickets before arriving! 

  • Butler's Orchard

Butler's Orchard is hosting its 42nd Annual Pumpkin Festival! Live music, a twisted corn maze, peddle tractors, and a petting zoo. This farm visit hits all your Fall themed activity dreams. $15 per person online or $17 in person.

We see you Granny Spice; Fall is a mood. It’s the rich, warm colors that you bring into your home in the form of chunky amber throw blankets and velvet mustard pillows. You carefully selected them because they remind you of strolls in late October. On a drive to your favorite local farm, you let yourself relax as you roll down the windows and breath in the crisp autumn air. You find comfort knowing you’re about to bring home a bountiful basket of apples for your famous homemade apple pie.  Fall to you is the scents of nutmeg and cinnamon encompassing your entire home as you light a few candles, sit down with a glass of wine, and nibble at your curated assortment of local jams, jellies, cheese, and biscuits lightly drizzled with honey. These are the places for you, Granny Spice; you are the feeling of Fall without even saying a single word.

  • Homestead Farm

Roll down your windows, turn on your favorite tunes, and ride out to Homestead Farm for a traditional fall-on-the-farm experience. Here you can pick your own pumpkins and apples. Just $2 a person for access to the produce picking farm with an additional charge of the produce you choose by weight. Enjoy the refreshment stand, picnic tables, and farm views to remember.

  • Queen Anne Farm

When you’re craving the local tastes of fall, Queen Anne Farm has the country store you’ve been looking for. Collect some jams, jellies, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, okra, and much more from the latest autumn harvest. Farm activities make this a destination for the whole family. Entry costs $5 per vehicle.

  • Hidden Hills Farm and Vineyard 

A hidden gem for you and your dearests. Unwind in the hills of Frederick County while enjoying the elegant and crisp Maryland wine at Hidden Hills Farm and Vineyard. This one usually has live music on the weekends, too! Bonus: they also support a local horse rescue. Strong equestrian vibes here!

'Falloween' Obsessed 

It’s October 1st, which means it’s go time! Fall is a synonym for Halloween. They are the same. While out shopping, you never say no to a quirky and unique jack-o-lantern, ghost, or skeleton! They all have a home at your place. Candy corn dish, CHECK! Motion sensor witch, CHECK! Deadly potion and cauldron display CHECK AND CHECK! Bats flying across your walls, duh, CHECK! Your costumes win every year because they are custom and elaborate, and no one else will EVER think to do the same thing because this is your holiday.   • Fiat Luxe Tours

For your spooky fix, book an award-winning tour with Fiat Luxe Tours. These ghost tours hit all of the haunted locations, from the cemetery to the set of a horror movie and through the oldest streets of Georgetown. You won't be disappointed by the history of its sordid tales. Tours take about 1-1.5 hr, and booking can be made on their website.

  • Nightly Spirits Tours

Pick your poison, a White House Ghost Pub Crawl (21 and over) Stopping at 3-4 locations, you’ll hear spooky stories and have time to enjoy a beverage at each location, or Nightly Spirits Haunted History Field Trip (ages nine and above).

  •  Gene’s Costume rentals and sales

We found this specialty shop for our ardent devotees of the most epic costumes of 2022. Gene’s Costume Rentals and Sales has a wide variety of costumes for purchase and rent. Don’t sleep on this; Halloween is right around the corner!

  • Boo at the Zoo

Costumes and animals…we are there. October 28, 29 and 30th, enjoy treats, animal displays, zoo keeper chats, and decorated trails at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. It’s an especially great family-friendly activity. For more information, pop over to their website
