As a native Washingtonian, I have a unique appreciation for this great city we call home. Growing up in Chevy Chase DC, I spent my formative years lost in a book at Politics & Prose or exploring Rock Creek Park with my puppy brothers (only child problems, am I right?). After graduating from the George Washington University, I joined the team as the first full time Nester almost ten (!) years ago. A love for understanding places and spaces and what draws people to them made it a perfect fit.
Over the next several years, I sat in every almost every seat at the company - from property manager to director of client services and ultimately to VP of Nest DC. In 2014, I knew it was time to leverage that unparalleled experience into the last piece of my educational puzzle... an MBA. After graduating business school at the University of Florida - go gators! - I spent the next three years in sunny San Diego as a commercial banking relationship manager at one of the largest banks in America. During that time, I delivered lending solutions as well as various financial services (foreign exchange, acquisitions, derivatives, wealth management, etc) for a portfolio of business and real estate investors with annual revenues between $50M - $2B.
Despite the lack of humidity, mosquito free outdoors, and generally exceptional weather in southern California, I just couldn't stay away from my home town long. I made my way back to the District, and to Nest, in May of 2019 to manage strategic growth and external affairs. I am so looking forward to engaging our city and its residents in new and interesting ways, creating exceptional partnerships with other values based businesses, and falling in love with DC all over again.
