Growing up as a serious Red Sox fan outside Boston, I moved to Washington, DC to explore a new city and study politics & law at American University. I fell in love with the sights and sounds of DC, spending my weekends exploring new neighborhoods and eating the best the District had to offer. To bankroll those outings, I started working in hospitality and quickly grew to love the fast paced industry which is equal parts planning and real time coordinating and drama slaying. I worked my way up to managing events large and small, as well as a busy and loud music venue. I loved getting to know clients and guests and providing them with an unforgettable time. I deliver the same experience to our Nest residents and manage their day-to-day emerging needs including move coordinations and move-out swaps. But my favorite part of the job? If you are one of the folks that got puppy crazed during the pandemic or asked permission to foster, I am the one making the hard sell to the owner arguing they should have a soft spot for animals. Then I promptly post pictures of those new family members on our slack channels because dogs during pandemics DO go together and watching puppy and kitten videos is a salve to pretty much anything.
