A Guide To Voting in the District

It’s that time of year again when we’re all awaiting our ballot envelopes & planning how to vote! Here’s a rundown of what you need to know about voting in the Midterm Elections this month in the DMV.

There are many important issues at stake this election season and these races will have far-reaching and immediate impacts. Worried about voter intimidation? Here’s how to navigate some common obstacles. Your vote matters, and hotlines exist if you are being made to feel like you cannot vote. Almost any question you may have about your voter registration status, your voting location, the mail-in ballot procedure, your local drop-off ballot locations and more can be answered on DC, Maryland and Virginia’s Board of Elections website. Check these out early and make your voting plan!

If you’re looking to vote in person, you can vote early or on Election Day on November 8th. All three locations have early voting open. If you choose to vote early in-person, you can vote at any early voting location in your area. If you choose to vote in person on Election Day, be sure you are heading to your assigned voting location. Find your voting center on your BOE website. And for a run down on what you will be seeing on your ballot this election, please check out these informative voter guides for DC, MD, and VA residents.

Let’s get out there and vote for the folks we’d like to see leading us, DMV!
